I have to admit, if there's something worse than me being awake at 2am with a class at 9am, it's me being awake at 2am with a class at 9am, hungry. At this time, it's either too late for me to access the foods of the outside world (outside my room) or I'm just plain lazy to go find it. Then I'll start reminiscing about my favourite childhood foods so much that I start rambling incessantly about them until I finally attract a miraculous force that would lift my arse off this chair to the nearest kitchen where I will find something to bite on which taste far less equivalent to a "childhood favourite food" that I eventually earn diarrhea at around say, 4.30, 5am?
BUT, anyways. Here we go, cannot tahan edi, I need that incentive to go find food.

Pop Tarts. Don't be fooled, you'd think it sounds cute but half of a piece of this mother almost killed me before! It was a boring afternoon after school in primary 5, no homework mah. So I would do as what I usually do, cycle to the local mall to play at the arcade for a short while. Short as in around 3-4 hours depending on who's my arcade buddy that day lah, of course.
What do you know, on that special day, I had an extra RM5 note in my wallet. What, do, you, know. Doing what any other hungry fat little kid would do, I went to the supermarket to buy some snacks to eat since yeah, eating was a hobby, alongside a necessity back then. All of the sudden I saw this big blue box with 2/3 of it pictured the product which was chocolate in colour. Call me naive but, anything with chocolate on the box grabs my attention, if not my money la.
I grabbed one, took a quick look. Hm, Pop Tarts. At first they sounded like instant egg tarts, but that may be because egg tarts were the only tarts that I was familiar to. Looked okay enough, plus it was chocolate (how bad can a Kellogg's product containing chocolate be right?) and so I bought it, took it back home. Popped the first one in the oven, it was wrapped in a nice shiny plastic bag which I conveniently forgot to take out and proceeded to toast the plastic too which rendered the Pop Tart inedible.
Fine, I told myself. 2nd one went in without the wrap, long story short got burned. Mind you I didn't know what the hell Pop Tarts were and to me it was just some square cookie with a random smudge of hardened sugar on top so yeah, the cookie part got burned pretty well. 3rd time's a charm though, took it out just in time and took a bite.
"Wooooaaaa.." I told myself. It's so hot, I barely felt the fudge seering my tongue, but the again I didn't know there was fudge inside it, and that really made me wow when I realized it! So the rest as they say, was history... until 2 years later when the supermarket closed down and others stopped selling Pop Tarts for god knows why.
I'm sad, I miss Pop Tarts. Not to mention spray cheese. Fun food will always have a place in my heart.. *21 gun salute*. Okay, that should do the trick, since I feel like getting up now *bzzzzzzzz*. Thanks, and sorry for wasting your time!
